Description Now that the promised clash has happened, let's see who's really behind it. My version of the Chimera is a more naturalistic version of the Hanna-Barbara Chimera, but with added spikes, a change of colour in the dragon fork, a few hairs on its body to show the hybridisation and lion fur and with no armour plating on the belly. With that said, on with the MONARCH files!

MONARCH files:
Chimera by Ishiro Serizawa
Yet another Greek mythology-themed minion of the classified entity, the Chimera was used by the entity to guard his base of Storm Island. Created from a mixture of mammal, reptile and apparently alien (!) DNA, the Chimera was by far the most bizarre of all the entity's creations, and the most powerful. The ferocious beast was about as long as Godzilla and about as tall as Gamera, and armed with the usual immense strength of Kaiju, but lacked the durability. The Chimera also possessed the ability to unleash a stream of fire from its mouth and wielded fangs laced with venom which was non-lethal but caused extreme pain. However, the beast was not capable of swimming, which is obviously highly problematic for an island guardian. The beast soon found itself involved with Gamera's investigation into Operation KVG, and eventually met its fate at the hands of the turtle Kaiju and the Rhedosaurus.

Continuation of King Kong vs Godzilla by Ishiro Serizawa
Though Steve had long been searching for leads on where Godzilla was or what exactly made Hippos exit MONARCH, all he'd been able to do was join the police in investigating Sinon's house after his death, something he barely managed to get permission for. Despite Sinon apparently killing himself, his furniture was turned over and one table's contents had fallen on the floor, as if there'd been a struggle. Fortunately, Gamera and Asagi were quick to come and help, the two starting their own investigation due to Gamera thinking that Sinon and Godzilla and Kong's disappearance all had something to do with the release of the Gyaos. Hitching a ride on the turtle Kaiju, Steve learned that Gamera had been able to track the mana signatures of Godzilla and King Kong to Storm Island, an island he informed MONARCH of soon after. Storm Island is believed to have been the location of the mythical Greek sirens due to a high concentration of vultures and songbirds who are believed to have inspired the mythical sirens on the island and its large amount of rocks. Gamera had an associate who had agreed to help him due to "being lonely", and that associate couldn't fly, so the turtle Kaiju had to meet him on the one safe beach on the entire island. Said associate was none other than the Rhedosaurus, who had assisted Gamera in sniffing out Godzilla and Kong (Gamera's mana sensing wasn't very accurate, so he needed an extra hand) and had been brought along to sniff them out some more. However, just as the group were about to get going, a huge scaly (and furry) creature appeared. The Kaiju, which Gamera dubbed the Chimera due to its resemblance to the Chimera of Greek mythology, quickly rushed at the investigation group, ready for a fight. Gamera set Steve and Asagi down on a rock so they could remain safe and he and Rhedosaurus charged at the hybrid beast. Rhedosaurus was immediately headbutted away by the Chimera, who quickly turned its attention to Gamera, blasting fire from its mouth and sending the turtle Kaiju to the ground. The Rhedosaurus lunged at the Chimera, intent on poisoning it with its toxic teeth, only for the Chimera to rapidly turn around, snarl in its opponent's face and bite down on his snout with its own set of venomous fangs, causing the Rhedosaurus to wail in pain. Fortunately, the venom was non-lethal, merely causing immense pain, but it was enough to temporarily put the Rhedosaurus out of the fight. Gamera quickly leapt out of the water and blasted the Chimera with a mana blast, setting its filthy mane alight. The guardian of Storm Island roared in pain and promptly dropped on the ground and started rolling. Eventually, the fire was gone, but Gamera had sped towards the Chimera and soon landed on top of it, tearing at the flesh on its back. The Chimera screamed in pain before dropping to the ground and rolling again, crushing Gamera under its weight. The turtle Kaiju went into flying form and blasted his jets, setting the Chimera alight again. Once again, the Chimera stopped, dropped and rolled, allowing Gamera to escape. The turtle Kaiju had noted the hybrid's constant stopping, dropping and rolling despite the large amount of water nearby. The Atlantean creation quickly realised that the Chimera could not swim, causing it to be afraid of the water. However, the beast was too smart to be lured towards the water and too heavy for Gamera to lift, and it was hardly going to drop down and let the turtle Kaiju push it. Fortunately, Rhedosaurus was now back in the battle and promptly bit the Chimera on the leg, quickly infecting the guardian of Storm Island. The beast shrieked in pain yet again and began to experience the affects of Rhedosaurus venom. The Chimera started retching and swaying drunkenly, clearly nauseous. After a while it cried out in pain, clearly having a splitting headache. It wouldn't be long before the "walking ghost" phase, when the Chimera would feel right as rain, so Gamera decided to end the Chimera quickly before it could cause a mutual kill. Transforming his legs into jets, he and the Rhedosaurus pushed the Chimera out to sea and into the ocean. The Chimera was too nauseous and its headache too severe to do anything, and only realised it was in the ocean when it entered the "walking ghost" phase. With the last of its strength, the beast lashed out at Gamera and attempted to drag him underwater, though it was clearly panicking itself. Fortunately, the Rhedosaurus was able to bite on to the Chimera's right front leg and, after much tugging, pulled most of the limb off. Gamera quickly flew away from the struggling abomination, and the last the two saw of the Chimera was it sinking like a stone (except stones don't shriek and thrash in horror) to the bottom of the ocean. It is unknown whether it drowned or died of the Rhedosaurus venom first. The two Kaiju returned and picked up Steve and Asagi, who had watched most of the battle take place. The four then roamed the island until entering one of its caves, where they would discover who was behind both the release of the Gyaos and Sinon's insane idea...
