I had to do this; couldn't color all too well, my hands were cramping. (That's.. no excuse for how Crystal's face got squashed, sorry!

Gold and Silver... are my first and favorite generation, but... I was torn when DPPt was released. They started rivalling it, but now I can just say I love the fourth and second generations and we're all happy.
I really want to see the graphics, and hopefully new art that will follow. I already love the names, and the new designs to the feathers.

Before it was released and I was physically playing it, I liked to think that Crystal had played up being from Johto, which isn't as technically advanced. It was short-lived, though. In the same way she doesn't experience the new fads, I'm kind of glad they hadn't changed her for worse.

Gold, Silver, and Crystal my first experience with Pokemon! Such grand memories... I like all their expressions, it really capture the remembered aspects of their personalities. Vivid color, great work!

I was so happy realizing that this generation would be remade, I suppose given the time itβs just a compression of that happiness. The colors and the sky is Johto for me.

Awsome picture. Reminds me of the Sugimori artwork I've seen from GSC. And the sketch looks great too. I like the painted look of the characters and the colors of the sky.
And yay GS remakes! Sadly I've noticed a lot of people critisizing Johto fans for being excited over the remakes. I've seen quite a few spiteful rants against GS fans, accusing them of being overly nostalgic. Which is strange because most Gen. II fans I know admit that the originals had flaws. Many of them support the remakes so that the flaws could be fixed and make a great game even better.

It's so amazing to be compared to him. My favorite parts are the clouds and loose style of the characters.
Those kind of conversations are almost depressing; everyone has a right to their opinions. I appreciate GSDS because I know it's what GameFreak had in their mind all along, but now they have the technology to show their world to us more clearly. I'm very excited for it.
There are aspects of the original games that I will appreciate more, yes, possibly drawn from nostalgia and my love for the 8-bit themes... xD
Mechanically, the game had some flaws, but for its time it is most impressive.

I'll be honest, now that I know it's going to happen (the GS remake, I mean), I'm trying to stray from learning any more about it. That is rather disheartening. ="=; I can think of quite a few folks that would be extremely upset, though...
I'll be shot for saying I don't mind so much since I'm crazy for the hero, myself...
Maybe this means there's a greater chance of a remake for Crystal on its own, especially because the heroine was 'reintroduced' in FRLG.

Actually, after hearing that the remake was official, some of my friends and I have made a pact to try and not learn any more about it so we can really enjoy it when it comes out.

The colors for Platinum were more muted than those for DP, so with little information to go from, it's just how I decided to work. XD
If that is the case, try to stray from learning more about it and really enjoy the game for what it is! If you've played RGBY or FRLG, I'm certain you'll find great enjoyment in it. The producers had outdone themselves in that the GS games are accurate sequals to RGBY. (As compared to what RSE and DP became, which, story-wise, are not sequals to GS to the best of my knowledge.)

I heard! I heard! I'm so freaking happy! When my friend told me I started squealing in happiness and joy and love and jumped and....[five hours later] and happy and... Anyways, I can see my beloved Silver, Crystal, and Gold again. I love the art too! XD I'm so worried how it'll turn out though. I hope they don't change it too drastically. I'm probably going to demand it as a birthday/graduation/going to college present.

I think, for whatever changes they decide to make, I will appreciate it, because... as a remake, the way it looks or flows is really how they had meant for it to be 10 years ago. Now that they have the technology to really show us the world that they wanted to, I'm excited for it.
If there are things I dislike, there's nothing to prevent me from liking by blocky Gameboy Color versions all the more. <3

I have a feeling he won't show... -,- but oh well. I hope the remake is as open-ended as the old games were traveling between Jhoto and Kanto that was the best part. And Challenging Red too lotsa free EXP points. (I'll bet you now all of his poke's are lv. 70 or higher in the remake).
