I had to click on the link because you said Tumblr 'seemed' to like this picture. So I had to see how much.

Over 200 notes seems a bit more than 'seemed to like it'. That's more like 'Tumblr jerked off to this picture'.

It's all in the timing and appealing to the most populous corners of fandom XD And not to toot my own horn (giggity?) but I'd say that comic I made last week that is over 3,400 notes is way deeper into the tumblr bukake. And that was a comic I made purely for my own self-indulgent joy, posted with the assumption it would get a dozen maybe 20 notes the way my doodles of similar quality and self-indulgence usually get. I'm still just

I have seem some blogs where people have written about the optimum times to upload to Tumblr. It had graphs and everything! It's kinda crazy. It makes Tumblr out to be some kind of gigantic slumbering beast...but if you do a dance in front of it at the right time of day you can get it's attention! I guess with over 3,400 notes you're gonna have to start admitting that your doodles (of whatever quality or level of self-indulgence) are muchly loved and admired.

Also, Tumblr bukkake is the best phrase I've heard for months. I'm so stealing that. YOINK!
