Finally,...Captain Uriel Ventris of the Ultramarines 4th Company.
FINISHED!!
i was stuck on what the "White Rose of Pavonis"should look like, so I settled with the Sisters of Battle style rose.
Hopefully all of you like the finished model, its to display how i think he would look now recently returned from the eye of terror.

Superb mate, really good looking marine I always got stuck painting faces I think I was a bit heavy handed on the washes, but this one is brilliant.

The arm was done using three seperate peices, the first was a metal shoulderpad, which had a plastic tactical marine arm pinned and glued to it and the sword and hand was from the masters of the chapter miniture which was in turn pinned and glued to the plastic arm!

I was never really a fan of the Ultra's until I read Graham McNeil's books with Uriel. After reading those, and seeing some awesome conversions, I'm a bit more of a fan. I don't really think I'll be playing them any time soon, but I can appreciate them more.
As for what you have done, it looks great. I never really thought about what Uriel would look like with decorated armor, especially after DSBS.

Very nice paint job, I'm a painter myself, but conversions are not my strong point, and you can whip out the best of both worlds.

Outstanding work. This is a good example of the three foot standard, which has details you can see at a distance. I normally paint for the three inch standard, where you need a magnifying glass to see what I actually did.

Kick ass man! Why the hell didn't GW make rules for him and Pasanius? They are the two most well known and liked fictional SM characters out right now. White Dwarf needs to make a chapter approved style profile for them, and they need to use your models as the examples!

the white rose of pavonis was awarded to Uriels company after saving pavonis from the dark eldar, apparently its incorperated into the 4th company banner and on the armour of marines who fought at pavonis.
