Yes I am. I've been working on a Howling Griffons company since last October.

Phew.
I'm finally back into 40k/Horus Heresy after several years, and I'm saving up for a Forge World/Betrayal at Calth-based Emperor's Children army. And a lot more besides that, but anyway.... I've also been slowly working on a Space Marine Chapter I invented for the last four years, on and off.

I love your 40k work, if I may ask how do you get such beautiful edges and angles, such as the painting of the Fox emblem on your Star Foxes? When I try work like that I can never get that fine a line or that crisp an edge.

Make sure your paint is thin, but not too thin as to bead up on the surface, and keep your paintbrushes in good shape.

Howdy, would you be willing to make one of your Gothic Ships (Vengeance Grand Cruiser Mk. 2) on commission?

Hail brother, I was searching DA and noticed your pre-heresy Emperor's Children project. I just thought I'd let you know that you don't have to convert the older marks of power armor anymore (except Mk1 Thunder armor) as Forge World have brought out kits for the older armor marks, check them out here: [link]

I know, I'm on Forgeworld's newsletter. I still prefer to build my own, it showcases my skill rather than my wallet ;3

Great Battle Fleet Gothic set! im drawing that kinda stuff and it works perfectly with my research of Warhammer40k ships!
its hard to find good model pix. (and close-ups are even better)BTW I redid one of your picturs (the Dictator Class one) I added a background to it and it looks good (I can email it to you or update to DA if you want it)

Here's the cruiser so far. I daresay it's about 95% finished now:

That's some nice work you've done there. It's not quite the same as mine, but it's cool because this is your personal artist's touch. It looks like you took a few of the easy solutions I bypassed, it's interesting to see how things turn out when I could have done them differently. Also, I can't believe you're using a kitchen knife. Go buy an x-acto knife!

Thanks. Managed to get that done in about ~3 hours or so. Most of it actually spent trimming wayward bits of plastic out of the way with said slightly-dull kitchen knife xD
I took a couple of deviantions from the model you have, mostly through necessity - I'd used all of my spare gun batteries on Carnages and all of my 3-antenna bridges on a space station I made a couple of weeks ago ().
Going to have a stab at the Vengeance too.
I'm surprised you've not passed comment on the pattern name I gave the Repulsive.

Awesome! I'm glad to see you putting those bits to good use. What do you plan on doing with the rest of them? From what you wrote, it sounds like you're not building any more models in this pattern.

Proiteus In reply to ROBOPOPE [2009-06-02 08:30:37 +0000 UTC]
Nah I'm likely to use them as objective markers. But after seeing what they look like completed I really want to find some way to put them on the board. Hopefully when the Necron Codex comes out

ROBOPOPE In reply to Proiteus [2009-06-03 05:16:46 +0000 UTC]
I've been preparing for that myself by working on making molds for all my old Necron models. I've always wanted to field a Necron army made only of the old style metals.
