Heres my entry to the Gnomon Monthly contest. This months topic was, "The Queen." Been thinking up ideas for the initial concept for a couple days on and off and just kept changing till the last day. Worked more than half a day on this, longest i've ever spent on anything, mostly cuz I kept getting stuck.Anyways, this is heavilly influenced by my favorite artists at the moment, James Jean, John Foster, and Marko Djurdevic. Borrowed alot from their styles and learned tons.

Very beautiful, love the concept. Nice mood, really sombre and well, sad perhaps. The hat does seem to make the picture a little top heavy but I like the design.

wow, love the firey hat and white gown (looks like a wedding gown lol). like the background too

Thanks. All the tiny elements in this piece like her dress, her snowflake earing, crown glove etc are supposed to tell a little bit of story behind it. The background is actually very easy, just some paper/wall texture in a separate layer and those snowflakes r on a separate layer and erased in some areas. Post some new stuff wiwin
