Description Heres my entry to IFS' pepper project. I hope I did justice to Artgerms wonderful character. Had a lotta fun workin on this, and looking forward to doing more peppers to come

just curious... why freedom? William Wallace?

Oh, and since u used Pepper Freedom as the title, I'd suggest that you make more room, more background or empty space... whatever u call that thing that is not Pepper... cos it feels kinda claustrophobic for a title like freedom.

Thanks dude heheh but yeah i'm no pro I chose freedom cuz theres a lot of room for interpretation. I think escape is a form of freedom, which could justify the lack of open space, things in the painting like flight, motion/speed, the isolation of her face from everything else could portray that freedom in a way, but in the end I ofcourse can't nor do I want to force what the viewer gets or thinks from it. Freedom isn't just portrayed by wide open spaces or someone with arms wide open and stuff like that. A war could be an act of freedom, an action like running or flying, a prison or cage could be freedom from other things. This probly doesn't tell anything concrete or exact but I much prefer involving the audience in the story of an image rather than just me telling em exactly how it is. Sry if it doesn't really appeal much to ya heheh, i'll try to do better in the next stuff ow and thanks for the crits too dude. They sadly don't give much o those here on DA.

ya... i was readin thru the others... "Great Job"... haha.
Now that u explained what type of freedom u meant, it makes sense, i guess i kinda jumped into the 'Open Spaces' interpretation becos that's the stereotype that has been hammered into head. Thanks for reminding me that there are interpretations of freedom.

a tad bit sad that the experimental lines are gone, but the flow works now all fine with those petals.

I'm pretty sad bout that too man but they had to go since they practically took out all the movement in the piece. they made the image focus too much on the face which wasn't really helping. Maybe next time i'll try the same method but with thinner outlines, they shall return my friend, you haven't seen the last of them I was gonna do more than one dude but ended up slackin off too much Anyways hope 1 o your entries gets in the book heheh I love lovesong and orange rust best
