Description Did a painting session with some friends from singapore, and decided to rework it a little more before I posting it here.

heavily inspired by the artists I love, namely Frazetta, Jon Foster, Ashley wood, and many more. Didn't look at any of their stuff while painting it but I hope I wasn't subconsciously copying a piece of theirs in particular.

thx for watching

Hey cok3...been following your work a lot, I use it as inspiration and I'd love to hear more artist that interest you. I looked up Ashly and John, and enjoyed their work, and no I didn't notice any copying subconsciously on your part, however I do see where you get that lose suggestive line quality that I love in your work. To be honest I like the way you do it more than Ashly.

Thanks for keeping me motivated...no pressure though.

Wow I really love how you pulled off the roughness in this one. The pose has a lot of character in it too. Needs more ass, Jose. 8D

thanks, heheh roughness isn't hard to pull of, its how things look like before they fully take shape. just purely gestural strokes. hahah yeah needs more ass eh?

Nice dynamic brush strokes. I'm a big fan of muted color palettes. The upper chest needs a little more love, as it looks a little too murky (even for the chosen style). Setting the woman's face as the focal point is just great.

thanks alot for the crits dude. ur absolutely right about the upper area, needs broader strokes probly to solidify things, nice work in your gallery, thanks again

I have to say, this style is really tough to get 'right'. I would go on to say it's a rather acquired taste, you know? I mean, Ashely Wood and the Sparrow set of books look really great and all, but I was never really compelled to get them.

The B&W looks really solid. Work on the arms a bit, but I dig the pose a lot.
