Description
Gil poses for a portrait with all the medals and other awards from martial arts competitions she won through the years. She collected medals in municipal and regional competitions until her ultimate victory (by now): Gold Medal of the Ontario Youth Kickboxing League. She also competed in Judo as well.Gil's Dad commissioned the portrait and sent copies for all the family, to Rodney, and saved one for his workspace. He was overjoyed with the final product.
Gil's Dad – "Hey, guys, look at my little kickboxer!"
Co-worker – "Your daughter boxes? This is for boys!"
Gil's Dad – "Haters gonna hate. Not all parents can have children they can be proud of, anyway..."

This was to be done by July... I somewhat lost interest but I think things have their time. Maybe by then I could give this a look so nice as this, and I wanted to make something more of Gil before 2013 ends. Enjoy

That's because A LONG TIME AGO, when I still used Total Drama as the cornerstone of my own style, I used to draw Gil and every other character with four fingers. When I moved to a more realistic style, Gil now has five fingers like any other human being

Amazing! Ivanna should take a picture like this one for the school's journal, although I'm not sure if Gil has gone to tournaments representing her school... but she should!
The conversation of Gil's Dad with his coworker reminds me of this movie "Roller Girls" with Ellen Page as Bliss Cavendar, a young talent on Texas' roller derby league, where she's known as Babe Ruthless and wears number 22: Her family's neighbor has a sign on his garden saying the name of his son, the football team he belongs to and his number, so Bliss' dad puts a sign with "Babe Ruthless, #22".
You know? For a moment, the crossed belts she wears on her torso gave me the impression that she was wearing Toph's clothes or at least relate her to the Earth kingdom, dunno why ^¬^

You know, this is a good idea. I think I'll use it! This reminds me of that scene of "The Beverly Hills Hillbillies" on which Elle May joins the school's wrestling team... And becomes the new captain just by using what she learned on the farm XD (Oh, nostalgia..)

You know, when I drew Gil and Korra, I just made Gil a firebender in that image because in many ways, Fire is Gil's element considering her spitfire personality: fire is associdado the sign of Aries, and Gil always looks good in red ^3^ By order, the Avatar after Korra will be born in the Earth Kingdom, and considering how technology has evolved up to LoK, Gil could very well be the Avatar in our era. I even did some sketches, but never got around to coloring any. Surely Avatar Gil would mention with pride the great Toph Beifong as one of her role models.

You belittle yourself- skills worthy of medals like those are nothing to sneeze at. Those are the results of sweat, blood, and tears- hard work that some people could achieve if they only tried.
