Description
Gil poses for a portrait with all the medals and other awards from martial arts competitions she won through the years. She collected medals in municipal and regional competitions until her ultimate victory (by now): Gold Medal of the Ontario Youth Kickboxing League. She also competed in Judo as well.Gil's Dad commissioned the portrait and sent copies for all the family, to Rodney, and saved one for his workspace. He was overjoyed with the final product.
Gil's Dad – "Hey, guys, look at my little kickboxer!"
Co-worker – "Your daughter boxes? This is for boys!"
Gil's Dad – "Haters gonna hate. Not all parents can have children they can be proud of, anyway..."

This was to be done by July... I somewhat lost interest but I think things have their time. Maybe by then I could give this a look so nice as this, and I wanted to make something more of Gil before 2013 ends. Enjoy

Gil: I know... Daddy told me that too. I didn't wanted to take the picture with the bronze medals because they are for last place, but Daddy said if a soldier wear all their medals together, then every medal is important. You know what? I'm really proud of all of them!

My Hannah: I really don't pick fights, unless I'm defending a good friend. At one point on my season, I lifted an entire cabin just to scare a thug into submission!

Gil: Hey, I don't pick fights! Daddy was very clear: *puts on a deep, manly voice and a grumpy face* "Gil, you don't pick fights in the street like a punk!" I just fight to protect others too. Mainly Rodney or my pet possum Evil. Whoa! I would like to see that!

Now, that's a great idea! Also, this would be a nice chance to draw Eva in her all-grown-up glory. I think she would look like Lucia Rijker in boxing gear.

Lucia Rijker is a Dutch boxer, considered one of the very best. She played the "Blue Bear" in "Million Dollar Baby".
Well, for most time I thought Eva was Russian or at least, from East European heritage (like Duda Yankovic, Brazilian Heavyweight champion, born in Serbia), but would always point how much she thought Eva was Polish. So, Polish she will be! "Kowalski" is the most common Polish surname... Also reference to Gran Torino

Oh, our comic... I remember we put such an effort on that! I tried to make my own comics but this is really freaking hard. But I liked to see all the work was being appreciated, after all. I think we could continue that someday. I won't lie, this is unlikely for many reasons (IRL, yadayada...), but there is always a chance. I don't know if tomorrow I'll wake up dead or feeling like continuing the comic, anyway

They keep saying like there's a year between the seasons or something. But I can't tell if they're exaggerating or what at times. They'd be 21 if that was the case.
