Gil investing in the classics

Gil's mother helped with this costume, as she felt a pang of nostalgia when her daughter told her about her choice for cosplay. She even allowed Gil to dye her hair brown, and when she said that she almost couldn't recognize Gil with dyed hair and contacts, Gil was proud of herself.

Gil's Mom – "Daughter, believe it or not, but there was a time when there wasn't video games in 3D. The graphics were basic, and the music was so cool! I used to play Street Fighter when I was your age".

I had begun to outline a story for this picture, involving a mystery to be unveiled during the convention Gil is participating, along with her friends (Ivana, the school reporter, chose to dress up as Kim Possible). If I can come up with a way to follow through with this idea, who knows? It was more because I really enjoyed coloring this drawing.
