a short comic. I hesitate to upload this because 1) it's a bit personal, and 2) my writing SUCKS!! I have really been inspired to draw stories lately though, and no matter how terrible my comic creating skills are, I will keep drawing and try to get better! Please do let me know your thoughts and criticisms! ~thanks for reading~some small notes-
the dialogue in the story is heavily inspired by (and borrowed from) conversations with my best friend.
The girls in the story are kind of representations of us... but I wanted to represent our personalities, rather than the way we appear in real life. For her, I wanted to achieve an elegant, logical, rational, slightly princess-like appearance, but for me I wanted somebody emotional and a little bit shy. I like the bob cut because of its hard angles, boyish appearance, and the way it covers much of the face, as if one were trying to hide from something.

keep it up with the comics. this one was beautiful and wonderfully spaced, and yeah i get that, that whole despair thing. have you ever felt bad or ashamed of being depressed? this comic kinda reconciles that feeling for me.

And I think everything makes sense, I think because everyone can probably imagine himself in the same position, we all think like that once in a while. Or more often...Β I can understand it's very personal for you, I would think the same, if I drew such a thing. but I'm glad you still chose to share it here.
I'm not good with words and even less with pictures but I can relate to this and you expressed it in a better way I ever could. I'd be interested in seeing more like this from you, I really adore your gallery anyway as I just found out. (;

your writing doesn't suck, it's quite the opposite. the message hits quite close to home for me, actually, and is unexpectedly inspiring. i really liked it. and the great artwork makes it all the better to read.
i also really like the way you designed these two characters, from reading the description it all makes much sense. ^^

My english is pretty bad,I didn't understand every word but I understood the message. It's really touching. And besides this,your way to draw and how you wrap the message up in pictures is amazing.

And raison d'etre is french! Oh yea I'm so clever. Does raison d'etre mean something like "the reason to be"? I'm learning french at school and I am pretty good at learning languages ( if you believe or not *facepalm* ). But I never learned what "raison" means. c:

I think you did a lovely job on the story! If you had put a lot more detail in it the story would have distracted from the moral...

I actually really like this...while maintaining a light somber feel, it has a little uplifting feeling towards the end. Yes, life and love can bring your spirits down, but it can't hold them down forever. There will always be hope, however finite, however distant, if you choose to make the journey. If I'm reading this correctly, of course!
In any case, I really like the layout and the watercolor, it actually produces a pleasant atmosphere, I like it! I think this is really nice!
