Aww, thank you! It does take a while, but I'm happy to say that I like how it turned out. It's been a while since I did anything of this style (more swirls and curves), so it was so much fun to go back and try it out all over again (probably something I'll stick to in the future, given how enjoyable the process was!)

Eee, thank you! It takes a while to finish much of anything, but it's definitely worth it in the end! I'd probably say that looking back at the progress and seeing how the piece evolved is one of the most enjoyable parts of the entire process for me - also because sometimes things go in unplanned directions mid way through, and the end result is something very different from the original idea.
(Fun fact: She wasn't supposed to have any details, but while procrastinating in class, I doodled a fish on her hair by accident, and it exploded out from there!).

Yeah, I can see as much when I look at the photos.
No wonder it's so beautiful when you put so much effort into it ;o;
(haha, that's awesome :'DD)

Haha, thank you so much! It was so much awesome fun doing this piece, and even more so being able to look back and see how it evolved. I'm pretty glad I decided to go back to this style of more swirly details, especially where it concerns the bottom half of her hair, as I apparently have a particular fondness for doodling fish and water elements.
The part that kept tripping me up was probably the gluing part though (surprise! I have the overenthusiastic gluing skills of a four year old in preschool), since I kept accidentally sticking the wrong pieces together and getting all the sticky residue everywhere.
