I had to do Nightmare Moon, she's so badass!I was majorlyyy disappointed when she turned to
pixie-sized Luna, LOL, you don't know how my face fell.
Oh well.

It is funny how Nightmare Moon turned into itty bitty Luna in one episode then became the same size as Celestia in her next appearance.

To be honest, I was upset when I saw that Luna doesn't have the flowy mane like Celestia does. Apparently becoming Nightmare Moon affected her age.

Okay i don't DISLIKE it too much. But at the very least i wish she showed up... After she's Luna she's NEVER heard from again... Not even at the Grand Galloping Gala. Where you would expect to see her... 8(

I have to wonder though; if both Luna and her sister are supposed to be EQUAL (which was shown in the first episode), how come Luna was reduced to the size of a slightly larger pony while Celestia is still more 'godly' in her stature and form? If anything, the Nightmare Moon form of Luna SHOULD have been what she looks like to be in balance with her sister because it fits; the stars/air-like mane, the darker colors, ect. Princess Luna in her 'good' form looks like any other pony but slightly bigger which doesn't seem...right. How in the world are the two sisters supposed to be equal in their power/ruling when one is shown more often then the other and praised upon more often than the other? I love the new show but its THIS concept that has always bothered me.
Of course, who is to say what could happen in season 2. It might be revealed that Luna has some growing/power up to do and what we see her as NOW might now be what she really looks like. Here's hoping at least! XD
Other than that, the picture looks wonderful. I enjoy the posing of this and the color change. Luna is seen as blue but the dark, murky black does indeed bring out a more villain like side of the pony. The tilt of her head gives the impression that she is eyeing the viewer and isn't afraid of them, something fitting for such a pony. Props on the moon as well and the background. We know that the moon and darkness isn't evil but the colors give off that sense. A more 'good' sense of darkness would be more blue than the gray shown so it works here.

Yeah it tripped me out when she turned into little Luna, lol!
I wasn't expecting that at all... I know she's the "little" sister,
but I didn't think she'd be that little xD Well, they are both over
a thousand years old; maybe being banished in the moon stunted
Luna's growth. LOL~! Plus I'm sure they wanted Celestia to remain
the most epic looking pony :9

Theory: When the chaotic element of Nightmare Moon was dispelled, Luna *temporarily* reverted to a younger state. For most of season one, she was in recovery, and re-learning how to use her powers and abilities. Once the "dark magic" is completely purged from her, she'll return to her full size. That is, just slightly smaller than Celestia. I suspect she would look similar to NmM in stature, but with the warmer, midnight-blue color scheme we associate with Luna.

Well, HARUMPH! That wouldn't be fair, especially after all the EXPOSITION of the two being more like TWINS than the entire *she's X and X years younger/older than her' stuff they're giving us!
But like Faust said, there will be more to come in season 2 so perhaps this form of Luna is just a weakened 'mini' state and her 'true' form is much like her sister with all the flashy effects and all. (Like I said, I could imagine her looking a bit like NMM but in a good sense with more blue than black and no evil cat-eyes! 
Here's hoping for more Luna in season 2!

Hohoo, maybe so! I don't mind Luna being a little small though if i think about it.... maybe she'll interact more with the ponies, since she's (kind of) their size, when she does come out in an episode! xD
