Honestly, Raimundo was always my favorite character on the show. He wasn't afraid to try anything as long as evil was defeated at the end of the day. In that aspect, I can relate with him since I often try any method I can think of to get the job done. That, and he was voiced by Tom Kenny. That automatically gets you points with me.
After all he had done, and all he had gone through, he had definitely earned the position of team leader. So as you might imagine, I was royally pissed to find out that this was not brought up at all in Chronicles. In fact, it seems like a lot of changes made from XS to XC seemed to come at Rai's expense. It honestly feels like they just threw him to the wayside. And that's just wrong.

I totally and completely agree with you here too. I was super disappointed when Chron completely retconned his leader status, as I know others were as well. :/ As you said, he earned that status through blood, sweat, and tears. Not to mention it was a beautiful way to end his developmental arc. All for naught it seems. -_- And if that wasn't enough, he really has become somewhat of an idiot in Chron. He's lost his sass and snark and quick wit to be replaced with that stereotypical flat dude character. It's kinda heartbreaking.
