I was playing around with the whole "Future Monks," idea and this somehow popped up in my notebook. My personal headcanon has Kim co-owning Tohomiko Industries with Keiko, when she's not, y'know, saving the world from 10,000 years of Darkness or some such.
The little boy is Comilei, Comi for short, named when Clay and Omi had a fight over who the kiddo got named after. And yes, he's her son along with his older sister Kaze. (Second Gen cliches, anyone?) I'm still refining his design though, which is why he looks so weird and distorted here, but hey.

Yeah actually. I love Kim's relationship to Clay. I know everyone says Rai and Clay are best friends, but I prefer to think of Clay/Kim and Rai/Omi as best friends, if only because I absolutely adore Rai and Omi's brotherly love relationship.

They're all pretty much best friends lol. They're like one big family, and I love that! Like, I love how Clay pretty much looks out for Rai, Kim, and Omi. It's so cute!

True, though, I suppose I just see it as some of them do have special relationships with each other. Omi and Rai are probably closer than Omi will ever be with Clay or Kimiko if only because of their rivalry and subsequent resolution to their rivalry, etc. I do love their group dynamic though, a family like you said.
Clay is kind of like a big brother to all of them, which is why I love the big guy- he really is under appreciated in this fandom!

But thanks! His proportions here are all out of whack, but overall I'm happy with my design. Mostly, I see second gen stuff where the kids look exactly like their parents with only minor tweaks, so I wanted something a little different.

Oh same here! I personally really like that they keep the hints small though. XS is an action/adventure show through and through- it'd feel out of place to have over the top romance, y'know? But yeah, I do hope everyone's relationship with everyone else is expanded upon. Super curious to see how Rai and Omi interact now that Rai's the leader/Shoku Warrior. O.o
Well second gen is just so fun to draw. I literally stared for hours at various pictures of Raimundo and Kimiko while I sketched, adding in as many elements from each as I could while still trying to make them look unique. S'hard but totally worth it!

Ah, his name's Comilei, Comi for short. I was actually really hesitant naming him that since it really isn't one of those cute little boy names, but I liked my back story for it (Omi claiming, "Any child named after one as great as me, would be destined for greatness!" and Clay saying that's, "A whole lotta hogwash!" then Rai coming up with a compromise... In Portuguese!

Anyways, really? I personally think that the motivation behind each of Rai's traits and actions is just too good to be truly annoying. In fact, almost all the characters have, at least in my mind, fairly valid reasons for acting the way they do, y'know? Though, that may just be me.
Well technically, it depends on where you place the show (It's China isn't it?). Since Kim is Japanese and Rai is Brazillian, you could say their kids would be a Japanese-Brazillian cross. Or, since they live in China, you could say they're Japanese-Brazillian-Chinese (Like Asian-Americans are people who are asian that live in America)... OR, since Brazil is, technically part of the Americas you could say they're Asian-Americans that live in China...
I just made that way over complicated didn't I? 
Anyways, I just call them Japanese-Brazillian cross.

That's kind of how I see it too. When people "fall in love at first sight," it's usually completely superficial, they know nothing about each other. Whereas, couples who begin with a love-hate relationship really have seen the good and the bad about the person which makes their relationship that much more meaningful.

Eh, I'm kind of glad they kept it small. As much as I truly am a shipper at heart, I love XS for what it is- a show based primarily around action, not romance. Not that I'd ever complain if they'd thrown in a few more hints (Dream Stalker was just... Raikim everywhere!), but really, I like that they gave us enough for fan fiction to be written and headcanons to develop but not enough to interfere with the main show dynamic, y'know?
