Prop made by me, worn by Tatsu for photos.I made my first Medicine Seller cosplay back in 2009, but I didn't have the box, so I've had plenty of time to ruminate over how to make it.Β This would not have been possible without my late uncle, who taught me how to use his table-saw and put up with me making cosplay all over his back porch.
The hardest part of this project was being bad at arithmetic >_>;
I've finished the mirror and am currently working on the sword.

Quick question, What would the dimensions be? HxLxW and such. A friend and I are planning on making this box and i just want a base to work on with the height and such.

The dimensions are going to vary based on your size. Β There's a useful prop-scaling tool here where you can upload a reference image, define a baseline measurement (like your height), and it will calculate other dimensions for you based on that

Oh man, if I ever have access to a saw again I want to make Ginko's box, one of my friends has the perfect face shape to cosplay him.Β I'd make the box out of cedar, so it was silvery-gray on the outside and nice-smelling and fancy on the inside~

It's not as heavy as it looks, I haven't got a scale but I'd guess it weighs between 10 and 15lbs?Β The size of the shoulder straps keeps the weight distributed comfortably.
