Description
Nurarihyon is one of my favorite youkai. I like the fact that he that walks into people's houses and acts like he owns the place and and somehow convinces people that he owns the place! I also find his original orgins in folklore interesting: the idea that a gaint jellyfish creature could somehow morph in to an distinguished old man with power over the whole yokai relm.
Whenever I draw Nurarihyomn I try envoke as much of his jellyfish-ness as I can. I give him a sort of blob-ish head like an octopus and make him look kind of loose and sloutched like he doesn't have bones.
