RANDOM EVENT
( Plains )
Its early when you awake, the sun still low on the horizon. You yawn and stretch, moving to check on your mares, you notice something small curled up by one of them. Another foal? Your ears prick- you move closer to investigate but as you approach the creature stirs. Its a skunk! You dont quite have time to retreat before it shrieks, spins around and sprays you.
You recoil and give a disgusted sound, you stink! Best get rid of the smell before your herd wakes up! You scowl watching the skunk run away. You:
A] Go find some mud to roll in maybe that will get rid of the smell....
B] Head straight to the river to wash it off.
C] Snow?! Find a patch of deep snow to roll in.
WARNING!!! F-BOMB AHEAD!
Rhust woke early. He had to open his eyes, but he listened carefully before he ded. It was dead silend at their resting spot. Carefully the young stallion pried his eyes open, blinking against the bright white of the sparkling snow. He took a deep breath, yawned, and then stretched out fully with a heavy grunt. Finally awake, he observed his surroundings, finding that everything was still the same as when he last checked in the early hours. His mares were sound asleep, with Marble neatly tucked against Daray's side, and Flint laying flat out with his head resting on his mothers knees. Mysha stood, one leg raised comfortably, and head low. Rhust watched in silence at how her sides calmly rose and fell.
The white stallion was about to lower his head to graze, when he spotted a small ball of fur close to Noëll's hind. Rhust froze, studying it. Was it a rabbit? Curdled up on the ground? It was hard to see, since the grass, that poked through the icy snow, was rather high. Rhust let out a snort, before slowly creeping over to inspect that fluffy ball. He sniffed the ground as he neared it, but when he was just a foot apart, it stirred. With a surprised squawk it jumped up, it's back high and tail up. Before Rhust could even fully register that it was in fact a skunk, the critter had already turned and sprayed in his direction.
It swiftly ran off into the near bushes with annoyed squabble as Rhust stumbled back, eyes screwed shut against the strong, foul smell suddenly hitting his scenes. "Dear Stars! Fuck!" He cursed out, both in shock and disgust while he recoiled. Never before had he witnessed such an attack, or smelled something so vile! "Dammit!" He breathed out while shaking his head, quickly looking over his band to see if anyone woke with squinting eyes. It did not seem to be the case.
With an angry growl he watched the direction the skunk had run too, "Fuck you too..." He whispered with annoyance, giving out sounds of disgust as he rubbed his face to his legs, which only seemed to make things worse. Thank you, ONCE AGAIN, mother nature! The young stallion thought with frustration, feeling like his luck of late had turned around.
He heard someone stir, and shot up to find Mysha wobbling. He held his breath until she stilled once again. Embarrassment hit him hard, feeling the heat creep under his coat. If anyone would wake up right now, they'd laugh at him, square in the face. He'll never hear the end of it! Especially not from Mysha! The stallion trotted away and out of sight, before he looked around for a solution. He could head for the river, which would be freezing cold right now. It isn't close either, he thought bitterly. He wasn't even sure if it would help against the stench. Snow then? He looked at the meager blanket covering the valley. That's just frozen water, though. And also cold, He told himself.
Walking off a little further, he shook his head wildly. How was he going to get rid of this odor? Suddenly, somehow, the smell of wet earth ghosted across his scenes. Mud! The stallion lowered his head to smell the ground, following the scent trail like a blood hound. Before long, he came across a large wet, slushy puddle of molten snow and dirt. Perfect! Rhust thought as he gleefully trotted over, and inspected it. The scent of mud might be strong enough to cover up this awful smell, he hoped. Finding a good spot, he dropped himself with a wet splash, and rigorously started rolling. The mud was freezing, as it was practically a slush, but he didn't care anymore! This would have to work!

Later that morning, Mysha trotted across the white plains of the forest valley. Her breath coming out in white puffs. She scoured the hilly landscape, before she finally spotted him, just crossing a hill. Or well, she was certain that was Rhust, although he looked rather odd. What has he been up too? Setting off in a quick pace, she made her way to meet the stallion. As she neared, the strong smell of earth hit her nostrils and she pulled an amused, yet puzzled look. "What on earth have you been doing?" She asked, trying hard to hold her laugh. Rhust was barely recognizable, covered from head to toe in grey, wet mud. With a tight jaw the stallion brushed passed her. "I just felt like it." He quickly replied, ignoring the chestnut's baffled giggles.

Yup! Rhust got Skunked! Even though it's random, it fits his trouble-some live quite well, lol. (Although that live isn't that troublesome no more)
Never drawn a muddy horse before. It was fun c: I like the outcome ^^
