Hayden's wand. Yes, it is indeed girly because well, Hayden's a girl and even if her tomboyish-ness doesn't reflect it sometimes, she does like pretty things and being a girl. SO. She added the ribbon and horseshoe charm for good luck second year, and the swirl detailing her fifth year. Her wand is two different woods because her birthday falls under Reed wood by the Celtic zodiac, but at the same time Yew is easier to wield and excels in transfiguration, which is her top class.

Reed.
-Competitive. In natural wetlands reeds form thick stands thereby crowding out other plant life.

--Reed leaves are well known for their sharp edges which have a reputation for cutting hands during harvest (as it is still used for thatching). Similarly Reed people can have a cutting sense of humour or anger.

---Without a doubt Reed people are socialites with a wide and varied social circle. They love socialising and being surrounded by people and activity.

----They can be ferociously protective especially if they sense imminent danger.

-----Reeds are inherently strong and flexible withstanding the worst storms and easily regrowing after fire damage. Thus Reed people can seem to have an iron will.

----Also true to the reed nature, Reed people are generally good looking in an understated way. The reed has crimson flowers that turn into seeds which the birds find irresistible.

---Similarly Reed people are colourful and draw a crowd of admirers. But like the unassuming nature of the reed, Reed people are often very humble about their appearances. They seem to be totally unaware of how beautiful their flowers are when in bloom or how invaluable their seeds are when in fruit.

-Yew is a powerful wandwood. Due to its poisonous sap, it has Dark leanings, and is particularly good at Transfiguration.

-- Dragon heartstring is a powerful wand with a lot of magical “heft”. It is not the core you want for subtlety, but for sheer power it is definitely the best. Although it is the most common core among Dark Wizards, Dark Wizards are most certainly not their most common users. Dragon heartstrings are by far the most common wand core amongst Slytherins, but their power often bonds to Gryffindors and Ravenclaws as well. However, they tend to overwhelm the archetypal Hufflepuff personality.
