Ok I swear I dodn’t mean to put this off until the last minute. As it happens, I cannot draw tweenage boys to save my life, and every time I tried, I got super frustrated and ragequit. Thankfully my hero *abosz007 was there to save me, because I would still like to remain in the group, and Rowan needs his twin <3

Personality: Confident, quick-witted and brave, he jumps at any chance to show his bravado. A charmer, he doesn’t mind making himself look foolish in order to get a laugh from someone. It’s a bit of a front to hide his insecurities, but he is fierce at heart and quick to jump into the fray to help the weaker man.

Liam is especially protective of his brother Rowan. Thick as thieves, the two brothers were inseparable, and their personalities compliment one another. They both hate bullying and have developed a system for handling such situations: Liam will jump in to try and help the victim while Rowan would run off to get an adult. He's the type who prefers to jump without looking, to break a few rules rather than work with existing systems and structures.

History: Liam and his twin brother Roman are the only children of Shane and Alanna McGuiness. Their father, Shane, is a muggleborn former Gryffindor who works for a wizarding radio station. Their mother,
Alanna, is a halfblood former Hufflepuff who owns a bakery. Shane and Alanna met at Hogwarts in Exploding Snap club. They dated in school, but broke up just before graduation. Ten years later, the two randomly encountered one another and rekindled their romance. They were soon married, and the twins were born a few years after.

The McGuinness family lives in the village of Dromahair in Leitrim County, Ireland. Liam was born two minutes before Rowan. Rowan was born underweight and small, and spent the first few years of his life in and out of hospital with some illness or another. He grew out of it as a toddler, but the memories of their sick baby had Shane and Alanna coddling their son for years, even though he was perfectly healthy. Both Liam and Rowan were fairly athletic, but their parents refused to allow Rowan to join the local junior-quidditch league when Liam did. So Liam began teaching Rowan to play in secret, and eventually, after much begging, the two were able to convince their parents to allow Rowan to play as well.

Liam and Rowan were very excited when they finally got their Hogwarts letters, and immediately much speculation began as to which house the boys would be sorted into. It never occurred to anyone, especially not the twins, that they would be sorted into separate houses. Liam was sorted first, and eagerly awaited his brother at the Gryffindor table. When the sorting hat called out Slytherin, neither boy could conceal their shock. Surprisingly, Rowan coped with the separation better than Liam. Liam had always been so brave and stalwart, and Rowan was so quiet and seemed to follow Liam like a shadow. Rowan received dozens of comforting letters from home to reassure him over the first few weeks of school, and he ended up having to send a reply letter telling his parents not to forget to comfort Liam about the matter as well.

After a miserable first night, Rowan quickly came to love his new house. He thrived having a slight distance from Liam, finally having the opportunity to forge his own path. The two brothers remained close, however, sitting together during each class Slytherin and Gryffindor shared, and studying together in the library every day until curfew. First and second year passed relatively uneventfully. Rowan was a dutiful student, knowing that you don't get anywhere with poor marks, and his report cards were always excellent. Liam and Rowan were delighted to be allowed brooms second year, and spent as much time as possible on the pitch practicing. The two are keen to try out for Quidditch their third year, determined to redeem the reputations of their respective houses on the field.
