Photos where water is one of the components are my favourites. And the colour of the sky at dusk (it was dusk, right?) reflects wonderfully on the water.

You have captured the lighting situation beautifully.

yep nice HDR... i m also fallin in love with them....
someone has a nice suggestion that a lower angle might have worked in cutting out the blurred cloud.. hmmn... maybe ??

Yeah, now that I look at it again, I think it would be better off with some of the sky cropped -- it's not adding much to the shot.

Great light, almost a fav here. If just... the lods in the water would be a bit more less random. There will be some great photos from you in the future, that's for sure.

Heh, no. I just like clear lines. I would have chosen another angle to take the photo. The colors in this one is great, love them.

Man, it looks almost surreal. The water's beautiful, but I agree that the nearest clouds look a little too soft and blurry.

Great HDR photo. Looks good, but i find the clouds too soft.

Stunning shot! Did you use the HDRI tone mapping technique to achieve those great colors?
!

BrandonRechten In reply to lazerphea [2006-07-23 06:58:45 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! Yes, this is an HDR of three exposures - the colors were still pretty intense without the tone-mapping, but it definitely helped to bring out the depth.

Wow, another excellent photo! Absolutely great! I could look at it for hours.
May I ask (just out of interest) what camera equipment you use?

Just a Canon A95. And a tripod. I hope to upgrade to a DSLR as soon as I have the funds though.

Very interesting! Thank you for the info. A little advice (if this is of interest for you): If you consider buying the Canon EOS 20D or the new EOS 30D, you should decide for the new 30D. I have tested them both and the 30D is much better.
