! ! ! Imagine this: you're praying for a baby for years. Then you finally get a little girl and a stupid fairy-like witch decides to curse her ! the next thing you know, your child is growing up far from you.
I suppose I feel more sorry for her than I realized. This is the third time I draw her. That's pretty much for being a non-peter pan character
This is one of those moments when she thinks of her little girl.
I'm trying to get more life into my drawings, and yeah, I still hate hands.
EDIT: I redid little Aurora and I fixed the Queen's hands. Still, it still doesn't feel as if she's actually 'holding' her daughter, if you know what I mean.

I never thought of the queen's despair myself, although it is clearly seen in some scenes. You did a great job to focus on that.

I've always felt bad for Aurora/Rose being all secluded like that then suddenly being thrust back into life as a princess (and betrothed to a man she thinks she's never met), but I never really thought about how the parents must feel...

yes, it is a side of the story you never hear much of in fairy tales. How do the parents feel once the child is gone? She needs a hug... though at the end of the movie, Aurora gives her one so I guess we're good. lol
