Female Hand

INTRO:

You'll never guess how I learned this Cheat!

Back when I was in the 4th grade, there was this movie called "The Little Mermaid", and I saw it, loved it, got the toys, and then got the coloring book! I colored every page in the book! But, by the time I was in the 5th grade, someone challenged me to draw the main character.
So, I whipped out my coloring book and tried to freehand copy it.

I noticed that almost every figure in the book ahd the exact same hand poses drawn.

So, I just memorized and practiced this exact hand pose over again.
This is the #1 most used & recycled hand drawing!

Now, go look at your favorite artists' drawings and see if they used this exact same hand.

I'll bet they did, with some varying degree or another. But, THIS is the Cheater's trick the EVERYONE USES!

I've seen this exact same hand used in comic books, and cartoons. I've even seen this pose in oil paintings because guess what!: IT"S SOOOOOOOO EASY!!!!!!!

So, if you think you're stinky at drawing hands, just memorize this hand pose, and dare I say the "P" word? (PRACTICE!!!!!!!)

NO more excuses for drawing stinky hands!
Learn this cheat!

Do it the Cheaters' Way!

****************************************

How to do it:

3 Fingers Becomes 4 Fingers

Remember the "3 Finger Cheat"?

Well, if you can do that, then, you can do this!

Just draw the 3 Sections where the fingers.
Where the middle finger is, make it thinker and wider.
Then, draw a line inbetween it.

Now you have 4 fingers!

Another this which is great about this Cheat is that you don't even need to draw the thumb!!!!!!!

Thumb is Optional:

To draw the thumb just make a V shaped line, but curve the lines.

* Knuckles:

Just draw some curved lines above each segment of the fingers.

* Tendon lines are also optional.

* Sometimes you may also want to indicate the wrist bone.

*****************************

See! It's easy!

Now, get out there and do you're own cheater hands!

Lol. I don't know how I end up here - but I already use this cheat and many others in my drawings cause I don't have patience etc. I'm trying to get rid of them little by little - and then I found my way accidentally in here.. Maybe this is some kind of sign I'm suppose to cheat? xD

This style of hand drawing is mainly used by people who have to draw the same thing over and over and over again... It is not a very accurate drawing technically but it is an accurate way to get the same picture down. for the observations

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

I like that you made a tutorial for drawing hands. I also noticed as a child (mostly in comic books) that the middle & ring finger are usually drawn together.

But personally, I hate seeing it. It's like they're stuck together and I find it annoying.

In VCl allot of people hide the hands because they can't draw them. I read allot of rants about this! Or that the charecters were drawn with baggy pants because they couldn't draw legs. But, hoepfully it's a start to better stuff. Feel free to pass it on. It's my greatest wish to help people.
