EMERSON!!!!!!!!!
So great to hear from you. I stopped by your page just a few days ago, saw that it had truly been a few years since you'd had any activity, so I dropped you from my watch list. I'll fix that momentarily.
I don't spend much time around dA any more. But I do pop in to see how folks are doing and the fine art that they are submitting. I hope to see more from you as you see fit.
Best wishes for a safe, sane and prosperous 2009.

Lovely work! The colours are fantastic and your choice of dof and composition is surprising and dynamic. Really nice work!

This is beautiful.
Love the wide-angle view given... How on earth do you take such gorgeous skies with composition included?
I'm jealous.

The sky was pure luck, since we were only able to stop for a short time while driving through the area.
Otherwise, treat the sky just as seriously as the subject. I've got several things around here I want to shoot, but the sky's either dull overcast or featureless blue. Needs some interest to it.

Great photo! I like the DOF. Quite a change...
This is Nature's way of bringing us back to ground level. Did you use a polarizing filter?

This is sad... It reminds me of a place in West Palm Beach that had these beautiful rock formations. Water would fly and froth up as waves crashed against them and their crests broke through the many holes. My family took me to see the formations one time when I was visiting, only to find they had been clogged with sand because of a hurricane. It's the same kind of thing, the simple tragedy of something worn and lost by nature's own hand. Not to say this isn't interesting to look at in its own way.
