Conditions: 6ºC, clear skies, very windy.
Capture: Canon EOS 60D + Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/4-5.6 USM @ 22mm, f/5.6. Moonlit 30 sec long-exposures.
Post: Stitched and blended with Hugin. [link] This panorama spans about a 200º field of view, so the actual scene appears much closer in reality.

This is one of my personal favourite spots in the world. It's just around the corner from where I grew up as a little kid. It's the same place where Snowcapped [link] and Slience [link] were shot a few years ago.

That night, while manually tweaking focus with several test frames, I heard at least two whales surface and breathe, not more than 100m (328ft) offshore.
