Strange, I thought. Why is everybody looking at me? Of course, this was before I’d actually turned around and realised they weren’t looking at me at all, but the sunlight was in a good place for me not to notice that. It’s a shame I didn’t realise that until I woke up in the hospital, anyway.

Still, can’t complain too much. I got off lightly compared to a few of the people there… but he definitely told me something, didn’t he? At least, I think he did. If it’s important, it’ll come to me.

Oh, no, I didn’t get a proper look at his face. He just hit me and ran. I only saw his back, infected as it was, thundering out of sight. But one thing I did notice was that whoever or whatever he was, he wasn’t human.

He had tusks.
