Personality: Cain prefers to keep their distance from other members on the ship. They remain silent much of the time, and will not engage in a conversation that they find unproductive. Though they are so distant, any coversation about their research will get you quickly into their good graces. Cain values intelligence above other traits and will avoid conversing with anyone they believe has a sub-par IQ as it would be a waste of their time.

History: Cain was born the eldest child of a researcher couple and enjoyed a relatively normal childhood filled with junior chemistry sets, bedtime stories of alien invaders, and one younger brother. When Cain was nearly 5 and their brother was 3, he contracted a particularly elusive virus and was immediately quarentined so as to prevent the rest of the ship from catching the disease until it could be properly cured and vaccinated. Their parents, both reaserchers in the medical field, turned all of their attention to identifying and eliminating the virus that had taken hold of their son, working later into the night than usual. Unfortunately, their efforts yeilded few results and their youngest child did not see his 4th birthday.

Perhaps Cain was too young to understand at the time, but they quickly lost interest in stories after the death of their younger brother, dismissing anything other than fact as utterly unimportant. They excelled at school and has already formed a close bond with their Magnemite, Richter, by the time they turned 12. Shortly after, they chose to pursue the researcher field as their parents had before them and quickly became absorbed in gravitational studies.

The day of the incident, Cain had the good fortune to have overslept after having stayed awake for two consecutive days working on a project. They did not wake up until the alarms sounded on the ship. Cain's parents have not been found.
