Description Sure, I'm a little behind the times, what with all this beautiful Avengers-related art gracing the pages of deviantART. [In fact, I've been avoiding looking at all the great art, just so I don't get jealous and think "I should have done that!]

BUT. I'm obsessed; seriously, I am.

Before I saw the Avengers (and then Thor) I did not understand the Loki/Hiddles phenomenon.

Well, color me converted. The entire cast of that movie rocked, but Tom Hiddleston brought something deep and sympathetic and beautiful to this character. As a "villain," especially in Thor, he was very nuanced. And Hiddleston's performance was glorious.

I had so much fun doing this piece, which was the most poignant moment of Thor for me. I think I really managed to push myself on this piece, and I feel it's certainly my best so far. Spread the Loki/Avengers love!!

I know! It was such a heartbreaking moment! I think that moment is meant to signify that Odin didn't approve of the way that Loki was trying to gain his favor. He must love him, but to see his son go down such a destructive path was heartbreaking.

Thank goodness Loki didn't disappear forever

It was SO sad. But then he came back! A little crazier and more sarcastic, but still our lovable Loki

Fun fact: Tom had to go to a salon to get his eye brows plucked. That's why his brows look thinner in Thor than in The Avengers and Thor: TDW.

Fun fact indeed! I seem to recall hearing somewhere that they opted to let his eyebrows be a little "crazier" in the Avengers and Thor 2 to portray Loki's transformation into a darker character.

Oh, my god ! there is even the tear at the left eye !!! so dramatic ! and that stare !
Maybe the background cosmos should be a little brighter, the nebuleuse has a strange sluggish colorand stars are not alight. BUT all the rest is alright !!!!!
