My first painting for 2014 and I'm very excited to present my latest obsession: Supernatural. So many people have told me to get on this bandwagon and though I'm late to the game (as usual), it was totally worth it.

Dean is easily my favorite of the two brothers: great sense of humor, fantastic taste in music, wicked awesome car, good looks, deep sense of loyalty. The list goes on. But even though he's often the humorous guy, I wanted to show his darker side when I did this painting. His purgatory experience was probably the most interesting part of season 8 for me (well, up until that finale. Holy cow) and I thought taking inspiration from that was appropriate.

I really tried to dig into the details here, so I'm hoping that some improvement from my previous work is evident. As always, comments and critiques are greatly appreciated! Expect more Supernatural art in the future. Castiel is a close second favorite.
