The shading on that wave is incredible, I love when you get creative with their surroundings, this is a great page. Also the 'whump'. Gotta love sound effects.Β

Did Javert freak out? Because he would be totally entitled to freaking out a little. I would have freaked out. Freaking tidal waves. Ech.

Book of Records, perhaps?Β Going back to the original (and WONDERFUL) Baum books, Glinda can quite literally read anything that has happened or is happening, anywhere.
There may be some places/people/etc that are shielded from its pages due to their nature or own efforts, but it's still a remarkably thorough tool of knowledge.Β And it looks like this setup is ripe for demonstrating the difference between knowledge written down and direct first-hand experience.

Methinks James needs to learn how to control his power before he can battle against Glinda. After all, he doesn't want his power to backfire on him. >>;
Speaking about backfire, did that magic powder that Oz gave to Erik ruin?

... How is that waterproof when you HAVE to put that in water in order to communicate? .__.;

Tear open the waterproof packet, pour powder into water. In some of the side stories, the Wizard gives Dorothy magic powders. She unfortunately gets dragged underwater to a different part of a different magical kingdom, but the packets are waterproof, so the powder is okay. I'm basing this off of that.

[opens door] Sure, c'mon in.
[points to what looks like one of those maps you see in malls, complete with smaller maps] Just look there for directions to the nearest freezer. If you should find yourself unable to find it and becoming very frustrated, stop and turn in a circle until you see a door that says "kitchen". I don't know why, but that never fails.

It certainly was the last time I did it.
Course, the maps are new. But I finally decided that just because I never got lost in here, it didn't mean it wasn't useful.
Now are you coming in? I got a lot of big screen TVs to watch the chaos unfold on, and one of them's in a room with a really big ball pit I recently installed.

Hatted-Halfling In reply to Page-Mistress [2014-02-18 04:33:03 +0000 UTC]
Thanks, sounds fun! (trumps in happily) I'll go get the popcorn started - got the directions to the kitchen(s), hopefully I'll be able to navigate between there and where ever the TVs are... (scurries off)

(pokes head out door and looks around, befuddled) Huh, I was sure this was the way to the TV room. Nuts, this place is a maze! Sure, come on in, this is Page-Mistress's place, but I'm sure she won't mind! Maybe we can find the TV room together... (is very, very lost) If you want to talk to Page-Mistress, call her on the intercom, she might have directions.

Hatted-Halfling In reply to Page-Mistress [2014-02-18 16:35:40 +0000 UTC]
(paging in on an intercom she found) Yup, found the kitchens just fine via your trick. Finding the TVs has proven... harder...
On a side note, did you know this place had an attic? Great view - I think I can see the apartment building from here!
π: 0 β©: 1
Page-Mistress In reply to Hatted-Halfling [2014-02-18 20:08:29 +0000 UTC]
[presses intercom button] Yeah, you can see just about anything through the windows in the attic.
Any way, just look for a stairwell with signs that say "this way to basement lounge". You can bring your sleeping bag down here. Just use the same trick you for finding the kitchen if you get frustrated, it works on finding a lot of places in here.
[reclines easy chair back]

She has her own domain elsewhere and, unlike most of the Conclave, has no interest in his.
