The tension. It thickens. Bet you didn't think it could get worse.An Artist's note regarding personal canon for the abilities of magic in the out-of-canon world in which the characters exist:
Magic is the exertion of one's will on reality. Stronger will = stronger magic. Jareth's magic tends to be on a time frame because willing the universe to be your toy for an indefinite period of time is very draining. Magic can also be a little bit finicky, since the universe has its own ideas about how it should or shouldn't work, so the results aren't always what you'd expect. Jareth in this comic is aiming for a stabilizing effect here, which, as you'll see, is why he has mixed results.
Other personal canon note: Javert is not a surgeon. He probably doesn't even have basic first aid training. The body isn't dead (so, not murder), and there's no visible perpetrator (no one to arrest), thus why it doesn't occur to him to check what Jamie checks...

Jareth belongs to Henson, Lucas, and Bowie.
Norrington belongs to Disney, Bruckheimer, and Davenport.
Javert belongs to Hugo, Boublil, Schonberg, and Kretzmer.

I like that Jareth thought to pull his hair back while working on a seemingly injured person. It's little details like that that make this comic so awesome!!

Of the four of them, Erik seems like the one to have the strongest reaction to things like that. He and Javert probably have the least interaction with girls (source of the anime trope), but Javert also had to work around... ladies of negotiable affection, and didn't seem too affected.
