Description Here's your typical princess and knight enjoying a peaceful day out in a field. She's listening to the trees as the cool breeze hits her face, appreciating the beautiful nature around her. Meanwhile he takes time to read, instead of his normal routine of fighting for his kingdom, or something like that. It's funny how he came out looking like a combination of Aragorn and Link.

It may not be that obvious, but they're in love. (Obvious meaning all over each other having a making out session.) It's just drawn in a way it's not usually shown in this day and age. Who says you have to be in each other's pants to love someone..

...I hear you on that last sentence.
Exquisitely rendered scene, a serene moment in time captured. The contrast seems a bit dark to me, but still comes across as calm. I can feel the wind...

Yeah, the contrast was due to the computer editing. Probably could've done without it as you say. This was drawn back when I thought I needed to Photoshop EVERYTHING, lol. Now I'm more traditional, with only slight tweeking here and there.

I had that phase myself, even drew with just a mouse. Now I do feel that difference...traditional just has that closeness to it.

Wow! Incredible!!
And yes... He DOES look like Aragorn! In fact, when I read the books, I imagined him nearly EXACTLY like that!
O.O
...creepy. xD
Anywho, Amazing pencil work! I love all of the smaller detail that you put into it!

Thanks! I don't draw scenery as often as I'd like, so I'm glad you think it came out well.

Just keep practicing. You can be your own worst critic. Look at what you're good at and take baby steps on where to improve.

Wow! I love the dark shading! I can definitely see the peace between them- I can see the love. They're relaxed, very trusting. I will say her sitting position looks a bit awkward, but other than that, nice job!

As far as the emotion is concerned, it helps that these two characters were inspired by the real love between me and my boyfriend, plus our common interest in fantasy. And to be fair, this picture was drawn over five years ago, so hopefully my drawing skills, when it comes to sitting positions, have improved well enough since then. I really appreciate your input of the picture.

That's cool, that you've found love I'll have to check out more of your gallery sometime to see how you've improved.

I really like this one and I agree, you can definitely create a bond between two characters, without having them make-out or whatever.

Yeah, I just really appreciate the more subtle signs of affection for sure. Too many relationships feel they need to rush things and overlook the small things in life. Take baby steps, I always say. Thanks for your comment!
