Watercolor 7x10.
Color Palette: Cadmium Red, Yellow Ochre, Indanthrone Blue, White Gouache
This is a portrait study using the blue variation of the Zorn Palette. The classic palette involves a black, but because in watercolor black tends to drain the life out of the colors, I substituted blue.
I am amazed at how this palette enabled me to paint the model's skin tone. I wish I had known about this palette sooner.
