Asfaloth and Glorfindel chilling out somewhere between the Shire and the Ered Luin I imagine - I don't think they'd stay cooped up in Imladris all the time!! The initial sketch had more details like Glorfindel's sword and cloak on the grass beside him. Done in MyPaint. I wanted to try Gimp but.... the cursor... WOBBLES!! I felt like it was out of control. Is it incompatibility with my Wacom tablet or is Gimp just like that?

Yes! I knew it! I love C.S. Lewis' Narnia series. I grew up reading them

Well to be honest, I've never tried digital art, so I don't know how hard or easy it really is

I think I wouldn't have made whatever progress or improvement I've had over the past 2 years if I hadn't tried digital, but I know it's not for everyone. With pencils, if I erase too much the paper is damaged/dirty, and with watercolours, once I've committed to one dab of colour I can't undo it. My art so far is a lot of trial and error because I'm self-taught... so the Undo button and Eraser brush are my best friends!

Oh gotcha. I've never really tried very hard as far as drawing went, only as a pastime.
I did however learn a bit from a friend, who took classes for graphite art.
We all have different gifts, yours is one of great talent and patience

It's perfect! This is how one should draw the elves and their horses! That is the opposite: horses and elves - and rightly so. This image of happiness.

If you tried Gimp with your Wacom and it was ok, then maybe it's just me. I must try to get used to the wobbly cursor! But for now - happy with MyPaint and will stick to it!
