It began with this pretty pic of a dancer doing a grand jete - www.pinterest.com/pin/21976165…Ooo, n this one: www.lighting-essentials.com/wp…
Then she became Amarie (face ref Doutzen Kroes), Finrod got added in the background (pose ref: syccas-stock.deviantart.com/ar… ), then somehow it became their first meeting. She's distracting him from his hunt (think a Russian artist drew a similar scene where Finrod had his bow in his hand?) n so yeah he should be smaller and standing further away in the background...
This is my last painting using my free Photoshop CC trial. Finally painted with more than a hard and soft brush! Plus learned how to use layer masks! So so very sad to lose my PS now, but it was really really good fun while it lasted!!

With huge sadness and mourning I have uninstalled Photoshop CC....lost a piece on Glorfindel I was working on halfway
Will take a while to try out new software.... let's see what happens!!

it might sound silly but I like the idea of that the Vanyarin Elves might have a elvish form of Ballet, performed by unwed maidens and youngsters, as a sign of honoring Yavanna and Vána.
So Amarie dancing in this manner at first meeting her beloved Finrod is just perfect

Elves being tall and graceful, strong and slender are just made for dance and ballet, in my opinion. So no, it's not silly at all!

I see that you have done progress as an artist... your images were lovely to begin with since they are colourful and use a wonderful atmosphere, but you keep adding more detail and expression. It's wonderful to see.

Wow, there's palpable improvement in this piece even from the ones that shortly came before it. I really like this theme of Finrod and Amarie you have going on, it's very sweet (and not so often portrayed). The lines seem much clearer and defined, less blurred. And yet the trees in the background are suitably not too sharp. Excellent work with a dynamic composition. Finrod looks besotted already

Thank you so much!! I'm trying to learn from past mistakes. I sketch with a 2B or 4B pencil, n my beginner's lines are very messy, so this time I really worked hard to clean them up with an eraser before scanning the drawing for the digital paintwork. I tried to "soft focus" the trees and to make Finrod and Amarie as clearly defined as I could. My last Valinor piece was dreamy, this one looks bright n a little fake like a 1950s poster, lol! .... But I'm so glad you find it an improvement!! It's so encouraging to know I'm making progress - thanks again!

Well, again (and like others have noticed too), the improvement is really palpable here. It bodes well for your future pieces, because you've moved up a level so very quickly! I can only imagine some of the things you'll be producing before too long. Which is not to say that your work isn't already great, of course; but part of the journey and indeed pleasure of being an artist is to note one's own improvement - you should be really proud of yourself. I look forward to see you keep on developing!

This is absolutly stunning! Finrod and Amarie are portrayed extremly well; their postures and facial expressions are very impressive. Every time I'm so excited to see in what clothes you put your characters^^Amarie's dress is really beautiful. And the background is great! I love that you chose to let Finrod hunt pheasants; not a game that is shown so often. Wonderful work as always

Oh thank you so much!!! I love adding little details like embroidery to clothes
And I wanted to use pheasants or some type of game bird, because their flight would echo the "flight" of her leap!
