Differentiating Characteristics
-Large oval shaped eyepatches with 'cloudy' ends.
-Dorsal is straight but it is covered in rakes.
-Saddle patch quite small with a 'detatched' section.
-Freckle on her chin.
-Body has various rake marks, deep ones on her right side.

Behavioral Tenancies

Behavioral Incidents
- 2012: Knocked a trainer off of ledge whilst having an ultrasound whilst pregnant with her calf of 2012.
- 2013: Bit a trainers foot and broke it.

Observed Precursors
- Emits minor agressive behaviour when frustrated such as quick head movements and jaw pops, these can be followed with tail thrashes and flipper slaps.
- Signs of Mayden being frustrated are extremely low to high pitched calls which are described as 'cries' or 'screams'.

Summary
Vigga is a wild caught orca captured from the waters of Argentina. Vigga was infact pregnant at the time of her capture but miscarried a few weeks after. Though Vigga is a hybrid between a Icelandic and Argentinean orca, this makes her offspring hybrids too.

Vigga has successfully given birth to four live calves, Nico, Nai and her twins Ryouko and Maito. She miscarried at the time of her capture and she has successfully given birth to two live calves in captivity both fathered by Ausani. She is also the 'adoptive mother' of Ausani and the pair are inseparable. At the birth of her first two calves she was alone and did everything without help, however at the birth of her twins Layla was present and assisted Vigga through her labour. Her twins were born premature but only one was healthy and strong, Maito. Ryouko was diagnosed with physical and mental disabilities, making her unable to live past the age of two. Vigga is currently pregnant for the fifth time with another set of twins, sadly Vigga miscarried her twins at 10 months through her pregnancy. In January of 2014, Vigga was reintroduced to Ausani and they soon mated and 18 months later, Vigga gave birth to her fifth calf, a female; less than 6 months after the calf's birth, Vigga fell pregnant again and is due in September 2015.

Vigga is the matriarch of the pod at AquaLand and often displaces other orcas, she often displaces Akio, a male who often fights over mating with her with Ausani, of course, Vigga doesn't allow this and rakes him instead. AquaLand is starting to do AI procedures on her, hoping that she will have more calves in the future. Vigga has made a good friendship with newcomers Skagit and Layla despite Layla's troublesome arrival. A month after the birth of her twins Vigga 'gave' Maito to Skagit, who is unable to get pregnant due to infertility. In November 2013, Ausani met Ryouko for the first time, he sensed that Ryouko was different and attacked Ryouko, killing her. Vigga then attacked Ausani, injuring him.

Vigga is a reliable female, who never fails to please the audience during shows and never refuses signals but she does misread them sometimes, but overall she is a great female to work with and is a pleasure to have at AquaLand.
