Commission from Emerald City Con 2014; Copic marker, ink, white paint pen, colored pencil.I was commissioned to draw something for a person's "Alien" book; any character from any of the films. For whatever reason, Bishop immediately jumped into my mind. I briefly toyed with the idea of doing his split torso, slopped in his own mess, giving that great "Whaddyagonnado?" look he has at the end, but decided to spare them that.
Lance Henriksen has a great face for illustration, by the by. If any of you artists who enjoy doing likenesses want to have a good time, I recommend him.

Lance is difficult to draw because of his distinctive face. But you've pretty much topped many DA depictions I've seen so far.

Thanks. I genuinely wasn't sure I was getting it until the very last bit of detail was added. I mean, only when it was pretty much done was I able to feel like I was going to be able to make it work.

Oooh, gotta draw Lance Henriksen now! Actually, that would be an interesting website or reference books. Celebrity Faces For Illustrators. All the gnarled up, interesting looking dudes like Henriksen, Bryan Cranston, Christopher Walken, ect.
This one looks real good. Kinda weird, but I like the wrinkles in his suit. It really makes me wanna step up my game. And the knife is a fun touch!

I had to have some connection to the film. I figure this is him after everybody left after that scene. It's his job to clean up.
