Well...it's finally time.
Avatar is coming to an end. I'm psyched for the ending, yet simultaneously sad to see it go.
Anyway, this piece is dedicated to all you avatar fans out there. It's been fun.
I hope you like it. I really pushed myself with the coloring this time...I tried to get the lighting just right. I'm sure I made some mistakes, but I did my best. 
I'm proud of the outfits...they're supposed to look sort of fire nation (since book 3 is fire) but influenced by each of the kid's respective nations. I tried to make the fabrics look different too...I wanted Katara's kimono to look like it was made of satin, and Toph's tunic to appear velvety.I realize Aang looks like a year or two older than he is now...and he has hair again. He just looks so delightfully...delinquentish with hair. And there are slight Kataang and Tokka overtones in this pic. They ARE my two favorite ships
As for the background, I wanted it to look sort of mystical...perhaps timeless or divine. You're supposed to get a slight sense of vertigo when you look at it...like you don't know quite where or when it is.
Anyway, comments and faves would be much appreciated. I spent LOTS of time on this. Sketch by Maseiya , lineart and coloring by me. Enjoy~

i totally thought "hmm, those outfits looks fire nation, and yet a little bit of the characters own nation at the same time, cool..." even before i read your description hahah success! you really have a wonderful style. very polished. the colors are beautifully saturated, and i wouldnt change the lighting at all. The fabric is what stands out to me the most. It looks realistic enough, but also stylized.
The only aspect of this piece that stands out to me as negative are all of their legs. i understand that you tried to give them those strange, foreign boots, but something about them looks off to me. if you ever were to go back and make some alterations, i would suggest giving katara and sokka a different style of footwear, but let aang keep them (they seem to work for him). also, and this may just be your style of drawing legs, but i would think that katara's at least would be a bit curvier. staying with the legs for a moment longer, aang's stance just seems awkward. were you trying to make him come off as childlike, because his knees are so close together? i would suggest giving him a wider stance, to make him seem more mature and accomplished.
as for originality, i only wish that it was more than just a portrait of the cast, like i wish something was happening in the background. but of course i understand why youd want to do a cast shot. your detail and unique outfits are a good balance.
i truley adore this piece. it stood out to me among a sea of others. really stellar job on their faces and clothing, and even your background (which all too many people dont concentrate on) is striking and elegant. really fantastic work, be proud!
