Description I really wanted to avoid posting older art but there's a reason to post this and the next piece I am adding up. I keep refering back to them and there's a reason why.

These were the last 2 things I drew before I stopped and the Blade Runner piece I am working on right now was at the time going to be the big finale' to the trilogy (makes no sense in terms of theme but I was bouncing around a lot with the work I was doing anyway, and I thought doing another "cultural" type piece would be predictable.)

So this was June 2006 and is the second to last thing I drew for almost 22 months. The Samurai piece I post next was basically the last thing I drew for a long long time (until now)

Especially the eyelashes of the lower girl.

ah...it's a long story. I had a sick pet and things just got really crazy for about a year, Then I needed another 10 months to recover.

It's all good now. water under the bridge.

Perhaps not a long story but many of them. I was looking at your star wars drawings, they look so good! Well, let's hope nothing else happens so art can keep flowing.

Looks brilliant ... but I can see how you are evolving between this, the Samurai and the Blade Runner piece!!!

Great piece of art!!!

cool. What do you see that changed? I sort of noticed tighter detail while scanning them last night. I think when the African piece was done. I wanted to see if I could push it. Do something tighter and smaller on the Samurai drawing.

Far more and tighter lines, far more complex shadings and so much better anatomy and drawing!!! I mean tha African piece is awesome but now you're doing masterpieces!!!

well again it's because of the line of thought I was working through at the time.

This piece in many ways was an accident. I didn't know I was going to draw this 2 days before I did it. It just sort of happened.

Then the Samurai piece was to test myself with something harder in this exact style.

And the Blade Runner piece was basically a test I think to destroy myself and push all this as far as I thought it could go....

In all seriousness. I felt like I had some unfinished business.

as random as everything I seem to do is. I actually do have a reason I work the way I do. I know my goals and because I am self taught I basically teach myself something and then test the parameters of what I have learned.

The Blade Runner piece was my 'finals' for this style at the time... Unfortunately there was such a HUGE gap between all these it's even harder than it would have been/.

So it's like the past is coming right back around...and it's July 2006 all over and I am working on the end of this little pen and ink experiment.
