I like the pointe of this and the angel has a quite fitting embarassed look. Really nice idea to put her on the line along with the birds and the clothing really rits with her. Good idea to make her speaking-bubble with icicles.

i think you have a birdfeeder to nail the personality of those little cretins
if you don't mind a brief story: i have one of those small suction cup feeders attached to my living room window, and i've seen it support the weight of two pigeons (people call them morning doves... they're pigeons). i try to keep it full when i'm around, but i notice there are times when it gets filled with millet, that i'm using a pre-bought mix and they just eat all the sunflower seeds out of it. i figure cut down on the excess and just buy a sunflower mix. FIRST time i used the new mix, had a sparrow the size of my thumb immediately land on it and start pecking through. it dug straight down to the bottom of the shallow dish, looking for something... then, it starts raking its beak side to side, knocking out seed. still unsatisfied, it hops to one side of the feeder and starts ferociously flapping until one of the suction cups gives way and it up ends the feeder. still on the window with the other suction cup, the little sparrow stands on the now vertical feeder, locking eyes with me and giving the expression, "Fill it with the right stuff."

Actually i can understand the poor little sparrow.
He only eats 1-2 gramm per day - of course the small seeds ( his favorites ) did not vanished as fast as the bigger birds ate the other ones.
When he faced the sorrow fact that you want him to starve ... of courde he was offended.

starve is a little harsh... i'm not trying to kill that one, i'm supplementing it's diet... and i have switched to keep it's mix in, trying to adjust since it seems i have different groups through the day (morning is more little seeds, evening is a sunflower crew)
different story: every morning, i have a male cardinal attack my bedroom window. there is a bush across from my window that it sits in, and i figure it sees it's reflection and just charges into it. he can be banging for an hour at a time... when i first heard it, i was trying to figure if i had a leaky pipe or something trapped in the walls. that was 4 months ago. i have 2 concerns with this guy: 1) extra training will make him more fit and he'll have more babies that will attack their reflections, possibly focusing on my window. 2) he's getting a crowd... there are a couple sparrows that will watch him... i'm hoping they're waiting for seed and not interested in what the cardinal is doing, taking it as a learning experience or something to try.
he's not damaging the window, so i'm letting him be... nothing i can really do...

I think you correctly captured how the sparrow will overdramatize it. Sure it wouldn't starved but it would surely look at you like that.
