The finished result of my WIP piece. While I'll still take texture/detail ideas ( how to change things, not simply what to change, please), I don't plan to go in and work on this piece anymore.

I'd really like to do more like this until it starts feeling easier and more comfortable. This one was really clumsy, because I haven't used photoshop for a serious project in quite some time, and I didn't feel like I knew what tools or techniques to use to get the look I wanted.

At any rate, suggested a trick using bevel/emboss (never used that on anything other than text, so it was cool to see the result). I feel satisfied with this as my first serious attempt at semi-realism, at least for dragons.
