I had a long-arse serious musing about the cute and strange reasons behind this pairing, but now I'm out of time. Fortunately the very same amazing person I made this for happened to link me a video which inspired me to give it a lighter spin, around two hours before posting. Oh gosh. What a blessing that random linkage was!Suffice it to say that under less giggly circumstances, this Nitori'd be the type to act as a crutch everyday to her dearest, if said person tripped on her geta and broke a leg ... or wing, in this case. ;3
I don't know. I like Nitori, it never occurred to me how much so before. Her themes are incredible. I'd link some but then I'd be out of time. Maybe I'll have more excuses to draw her now if I start pairing her with my third-favourite Touhou of all time. (Or is it the other way round?)

Oh Aya... If not for my love for Yuyuko I would have fallen for her. Well I still love Aya, but I will stay loyal to the ghost. I would however, still help her out if she got hurt like this.

You know what's funny? I used to mistaken your icon for Aya holding a camera. I later realised by looking at your profile and googling a bit that she's an Inuyasha character, and that what I mistook for a camera was in fact ... a toros cuirass moulded to fit her ample bosom. >,> Oh dear ...

Yep, Abi-Hime, the most beautiful bird youkai, and very ample as you have noticed. Interestingly, she actually happens to come from the Netherworld. Also, she has been reused in Rumiko Takahashi's Kyoukai no Rinne being renamed "Ageha" and is a shinigami, often having butterfly themed items as her name would suggest. Might this be a coincidence? Who knows? But the lovely Bourei just says for me to relax and enjoy things. However the progression is very noticeable.
Give Aya long hair however, and she would certainly look very similar to Abi-Hime, complete with said ample bosom, lol.
As for that cuirass, there is no way I am gonna replicate it so on my doll of her that I made I just gave her one of my jackets. (Life sized so this works).
That said, I love her and Yuyuko so much... I am bound to Yuyuko, but to be fair I have loved Abi-Hime for almost ten years now.

I may just downgrade it to a wing-brace in a possible short fanfic idea I might make out of this. The design I based the wing on turned out to be from a game the recipient of this piece has absolutely no interest to. A bit of a misunderstanding and mistake by me, ahah ... 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Holy foot it needs to be drawn. If Aya were Edward, would Alphonse be ... Momiji or Hatate, do your reckon? Momiji seems more like a younger sibling, but like ... a big metal bird suit of armour would be the Gensoukyou equivalent of a Metal Gear Ray ... <3

That's just too far out of my imagination, lol. I know neither Hatate nor MOmiji that well as characters and can't imagine what they would look like in that version. But in this case I guess Nito would make a decent enough Winry/Wendy.
