I really like this! I've been trying to figure out how to paint a convincing sandstorm for a while now and this piece is a really successful example, i think!

Like it? It has everything I can learn from! Up there along with all of your Colossal variations ...
BRILLIANT!!! IT may take a few more years but art like this keeps me inspired to keep trying and learning.
Thx

every other pic that I have clicked on has been one of yours.
I think having this monster obscurred by sand is a great idea. This is the BEGINNING of this battle and it doesn't look like either opponent is going to be easy to kill.
It might have been cool to see maybe just a little more of the body suggested behind the sand but *shrug* Maybe it's claw starting to clear through too or something.
Very excellent work though

I really love the action in this painting, as well as the impression of the dragon in the sand. Since you wanted a critique, the only thing I would suggest is that you could make it seem more like the dragon is looking at the man. After all, that is it's prey, not us.
I've just been through your entire gallery. You are fantastic! *Watch!

VERY NICE. I instantly imagine the atmosphere felt in the world this would take place in. The fear, anger, bravery, etc. Nice I could learn a lot from you. As an artist.

I can't say too much about digital painting I'm afraid, since it's not my forte.
I like how he seems to be ready for the creature;like he knows this is how they prefer to attack. The fact that you haven't shown a lot of the beast but partial hints,(like the ridged back curving in the background) gives us an idea how bad the visibility is here.
The monster's only weak spot? He's glowing from the head, and that's probably where the fighter is going to strike.

why don't you make your own watermark? the deviantart watermark looks so cheesy and cheap on top of your work. Make a classier watermark with YOUR name on it instead of some damn ugly dA advertisement on your gorgeous work. then people will remember YOU because of your classy work.

This reminds me a lot of the kind of artwork that Wizards of the Coast uses for their trading cards Magic: The Gathering. I can honestly not offer any points to work on in this case.
