Description ...Clydesdale!

---

About time this showed up, huh? I think I may have bitten off more than I could chew when I thought it would be a good idea to draw a horse breed for every letter of the alphabet, fff. Oh well. At least this should keep me busy for a while :I
Finished this bad boy last week, but then an inconvenient concussion happened, so I couldn't scan or upload it. My head is much better now, although I'm still tired and sleepy all the time xD

The Clydesdale horse is derived from the farm horses of Clydesdale, Scotland, and is named after this region. These gentle giants were originally used for agricultural, coal hauling and draught purposes. Today the Clydesdale horse is famous from the Budweiser commercials and its use as a drum horse by the British Household Cavalry.

I'll leave you guessing what the next breed will be

If another draught horse, Dutch Draft?
If show jumping or dressage, Dutch Warmblood?
Or, maybe the hyper majestic Dales Pony, whose characteristics I know nothing of!

Fabulous amount of detail you let your drawing prosper with. The actual sense of realism that landed the impact left my jaw on the ground (not literally, that would hurt). You've done well with the headgear (or whatever that's called for horses...), and you've timed the steps of the horse as fluid as any horse would. Another beautiful piece of art to look upon.
The shadow turned out to be a little odd regarding the left hind hoof, but it would be bickering to correct that =]

Excellent suggestions; time will tell! For now the next breed remains secreeeet ~ xD

Thank you very much! I've put a lot of work into the tack (I think it's called tack; seletΓΈj, right? c: ), so I'm glad my efforts have paid off! You're absolutely right about that shadow, by the way; I hadn't even noticed that. Thank you for pointing it out; I might change it on the original drawing

Of course, you're a mysterious person :b You might enjoy keeping something in store for your watchers, mh?

Yes, tack, that sounds right. Your effort evidently paid off, and I'm actually glad to know you did put effort into it. Tells me something about you as both artist and person. Moreover, it urges me to keep practising when it comes to creative deeds and doing
You're welcome - even the best can develop with the view from their onlookers. I wish only the best for those who desire and work to become better ^^

Hahaa, just a bit! It's the element of surpriiise ~
Thank you very much, I'm glad you think so ^^ Putting lots of effort into drawings is both a blessing and a curse, really; I can be quite the nit-picking perfectionist at times. Sometimes I slave over details that no one can even see in the completed drawing; details that get butchered in the scanner anyway xD

Very true. Sometimes fussing over them will become excessive and sometimes make it less than what it was. I guess you could name it a curse, but without all the witchcraft ^^

Beautiful I love the feathering, and that you put longer hairs on the upper legs as well. Those kind of details really make it stand out. Can't wait for the next one ^^ a DΓΌlmener Wildpferd perhaps?

Thank you so much! The feathering was fun to do; although it is hard to do white feathering against a white background, heh xD
The next breed remains secret for now; but hopefully I'll start working on it soon Thank you so much for the watch, btw

I don't see how you got this out of a mechanical pencil? I hate using them, only like using them for outlines. but It is very wonderful. I like the contrast with the light and the dark and how you managed to keep this soft graceful feel to it. powerful and don't get concussions their not good for you *n*

I used a lot of blood and sweat and tears too! x'D
Nah, just kidding. I actually love working with a mechanical pencil because it always stays sharp! But I think it just takes getting used to; drawing with regular pencils feels weird to me now D,D'
Thank you very much! I haven't drawn horses for some time, so I'm a little rusty xD
Concussions, hisss! It happened last week, so I feel a lot better now, yay
