Description Ok. This is another example/preview of MC Animation I am trying to deliver… the full animation came out kinda big, so I am looking into pre-loader for that right now. Plus there are a few camera cuts so long story short.. as soon as I figure it out, I will deliver the full thing.

As of right now. Enjoy this little part, called the Stab. Its in slow motion just for fun. I also wanted to give you a taste of Vector rendering... coz I just love this look…

I think so but it didn't have the shadows in it like this one.

zoomzoom In reply to ZenistentialDread [2007-10-04 01:46:06 +0000 UTC]

true that... the reason i took them off is because they were messing up the render... it just didn't work as well...

Too bad I love the look. I mean, they're all amazing but the shading kills on this one. I prefer flat color in vectorized work unless you're going really cartoony.

It's very good, but I think before he flips off, he should compress downward more. It doesn't quite look like he has enough momentum to flip that far at this point.

if this is maya, which I believe that's what u work in...... vector and toon outlines always pop like so...... but I absolutely think u did an awesome job with the characters and animation..... love it..

zoomzoom In reply to 300beatspm [2007-02-21 05:07:28 +0000 UTC]

yea... i like simple vector render... however... i was messing with photoshop today and had combined outlined renders from vector render and a render with mental ray... it was kinda unique looking work...

hey nice animation of what I can understand it's not your model or rigg (of the ninja cuz I seen it before but don't know where it's from) so I would be thankfull if you could put a link in your descrition to the free rig. ( so I can try it out my self)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

zoomzoom In reply to madhatter [2007-02-06 23:08:26 +0000 UTC]

It was rig by a guy in my class while I was still in school. His name I don't remember. While the model was found on cgtalk.com if you go there and search for free Maya models you most likely be able to find it. Unless they took it off.. I mention this in most of my animations. Didn’t do it here coz its preview that will be either deleted or sent to scraps...

zoomzoom In reply to ccccantide [2007-02-06 23:10:06 +0000 UTC]

its easy. i can guild you how to do it if you have maya

lankywiesner [2007-02-06 17:07:29 +0000 UTC]

I like the animation,
the only thing i think you could change is the point where he flips over him, you may want to try to delay the legs by a few frames before they spring forward, this might give a better effect

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

zoomzoom In reply to lankywiesner [2007-02-06 17:21:31 +0000 UTC]

i think its an effect of an angle... when i will submit a full animation you may see it in a new light

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

lankywiesner In reply to zoomzoom [2007-02-06 20:33:20 +0000 UTC]

yeah, i posted that comment and then i saw the animation at the other angle and i know what you mean

lol

I'm really interested in doing those things like your doing but i have no experience with it of any kind. Never done it before. Do you maybe have any tips? I should probably just start by drawing a character by hand and colour it and stuff. Not yet all those computer animation things. I also don't have a program to do things like that. Do you have a tip for a starters program i could use for beginners like me? thx anyway man
