I love to think that with each generation of Poke'mon the trainers would get stupider and stupider... and that an experienced gym leader like Gary would have a Wurmple in his line up
Sorry for taking forever to update! But who doesn't like Pokemon'z?

Say, why do they always think next trainer is destined to be the next elite champion right from the get go? How do they know the trainer won't epically fail? He'd be the PokΓ©mon Center's #1 client since he first started out, always trying to defeat level 3 Pidgeys, (substitute for whatever's in other generations, I picked Gen1)
Come to think of it, I always hated any Pidgey who knew Sand Attack and wasn't in my possession...

Yeah they were pretty ambitious and supportive of any new trainer when they should have taken into consideration they could just be an ordinary kid.. Though would be sad if those guys at the gym's said ''Your a loser! YOUR DAD IS DEAD!! GET OUT OF HERE YOU WASTE OF SPACE!''

There is also an alternate version to the trainer not being the one he's expected to be.
I saw the opportunity to see him as a looser who couldn't defeat Pidgeys, but what if he actually turned out to become the villain? What if the trainer was to associate with the usual rival of the game and only collected PokΓ©mon because they believed PokΓ©mon were only tools for battle? What if the trainer becomes a scientist who discovers a machine which would combine humans with PokΓ©mon, and thus create mutant trainers, who will eventually fight for their rights as a new species? What if the trainer decides that a life at the daycare is the best option for that trainer? What if the trainer decides to work at a PokΓ©mon Center or a Mart?
You know,Β the trainers shouldn't be hyped up so much. You never know if that trainer will even want to reach the Elite 4. We're putting too much stress and weight on their shoulders. They don't need to go through anything if they don't want to.
...yeah, they're scripted to do it anyhow, so whatever.

Yeah, it's even weird for that kind of move for Diglett/Dugtrio as well. And it looks like Ash ripped off his own leg which I can sorta imagine him doing in a fit of madness.Β
