Browsing through my comics on Coolape again and thought I'd submit this on DA give it a lil' more attention

So yeah, has anyone else kind of lost faith that Ash will ever become a Poke'mon Master? I mean so long as they keep making new games there'll be whole new generations that Ash will only ever capture 3% of
poor guy. Well least Misty's in good shape after all these years!----

I figure Misty's realized how pointless it is to just catch all these critters just for the sake of it, and decided to get a real social life and job. Ash on the other hand...well I guess he just continues to drift along the world in the vain hope he'll ever get them all...and when he does, he'll die lonely and without anything worthwhile accomplished in his life aside from companions who leave him on a dime...ouch!

The only way ash could ever HOPE to get anywhere with his 'goal' would be for an episode where all it is ,is a montage of him catching pokemon with no delay.(But who would want to see that?)

Uhh, there was a reason the "Gotta Catch Em All"t ag line was removed, because they realized how dumb and impossible that sounded.
Also I don't think "Pokemon Master" is even a official title, it's just a title made up by Ash in the same way someone says they want to be a Master at martial arts or a master at basketball, there's no official title for those things but you CAN be regarded as a master of your craft, which is what I think Ash means by Pokemon Master.

Catch them all? Who has time for that, not when you can GameShark in Pokemon with perfect IVs and sweep away entire tournaments full of noobs?
And unfortunately, Ash's world suffers from a classic syndrome seen in long-running cartoons: nobody ages, no matter how much time has passed. He's lucky to have gone up to 11 as it is.

Yeah it suffers the same syndrome just like the Simpsons..which baffles me beyond belief because Bart has been 10 for over a decade and they've acknowledged the show has passed through the 90's and 00's D: HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE!?

How are ya s'pposed to "catch 'em all", if the species-count keeps skyrocketing? Where are all these new species coming from anyway?
Rapid mutation due to radiation? The "next evolutionary step" like with the X-men?
Although ... I would agree with you on the "Ash is never gonna become a PokΓ©mon master"-bit, except if it wasn't for one tiny lil' thing - considering that Ash is still like only 13 years old even after more than 10 years have passed since the show began, he is OBVIOUSLY A VAMPIRE AND THEREFOR IMMORTAL!
I think the explanation is... Poke'mon Researchers are USELESS! They get paid crap loads of money too do all this research when another bug breed crawls up their window but like most scientists they ignore new discoveries until they get more money >: B

Lol, Ash got bald and Pikachu evolved to Senilechu, at least Misty "evolved" well... I guess "Beat the leaders and be the champion" it's a more accessible task to do now a days!
Haha, but Ash it's an ageless trainer, I'm seriously thinking he's half pokeman or something (ZOMG plot twist!)
I would love to see the others trainer get some protagonism like Gold (he did have some in legend of thunder), or Black, Ruby, the trainers from other regions, or just adapt the awesome kickass manga to TV and call it a day!

Hmm good point, how comes neither Ash NOR his Poke'mon age? I'd love to see a REALLY REAAAALLY old Caterpie : B that would be adorable! But he COULD well be half Poke'mon, I mean his mother is a TAD bit close too that Mr.Mime they have living in their house
If only the anime's viewing figures would dwindle a little bit forcing the company behind the series to introduce new features or scenario's too entice a wider audience, I bet most kids watching the show dont even know who RED is anymore >: I

well lets do the math: each episode shows at least one day on his life. well I know sometimes it takes 3 episodes to show one day. but most of times each episode shows 2 days of his life. well he travel city to city walking. anyway lets say each episode shows 1.5 days of his life. that means he should be at least 3 years older. or maybe 5. but nope. he did all those adventures, gym battles, made new friends and stuff, in less than one year <<
