Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons, anyone?
Hogwarts AU, where Jack is Captain of the Slytherin team (and the Seeker), Merida is the Gryffindor’s star Chaser. Rapunzel is the Ravenclaw prefect (and later Head Girl) while Hiccup is the Hufflepuff prefect (and later Head Boy).
I got a little shippy cause i like my Jackunzel.
Jack has the most fabulous ‘broom’ ever. Hiccup doesn’t know why he puts up with his best friend’s pranks. Merida does not understand the frying pan. Rapunzel tutors Jack, but he only fakes not understanding his stuff just to sneak in surprise smooches.

I really liked the drawings and I loved Jack's "broom", but I really don't understand why Hiccup is in Hufflepuff and Rapunzel is in Ravenclaw, really. I respect that, it's just that I think Hiccup (in both the movies and the book series) has so much of Ravenclaw's traits that it's difficult to see him any other house, especially Hufflepuff, a House of tradition. Hiccup is all about breaking tradition, inventing, creating and being pure intelligent and clever.

First of all, thank you for liking the drawings, and loving the idea for Jack's 'broom'!
And to get to the nitty gritty of it: I've been plagued by people who share the same views as you. I say plague as in negatively, because I don't appreciate people coming right up to me and telling me 'oh you put them in the houses that I don't think is right for them, because of my reasons' because see. I have my own reasons. I don't shove em into people's faces, I draw what I think of and I draw cause I like it. I might sound kind of rude when I say these things, but thats because I'm more than exhausted of having to explain myself. If you do want to know why I placed them where they are in the drawings, you could ask nicely as to why, instead of telling me that 'no, they should belong in this house instead because of xxx trait', cause then I'd just not feel inclined to share my own reasonings.

If you don't feel up to reading, long story short, look at Hermione Granger. She is an excellent example of the brilliant and the brains, but not in Ravenclaw. Or, if you'd like another example, Professor McGonagall. Of course, my reasonings run deeper than just that, but thats up to you to click on the link to find out.

And yes, I know that Hermione and Professor McGonagall are exceptions, but I think J.K.R. had her reasons and she does know better the characters than any reader could.
I only said that because it really makes my insides turn when I see Hiccup in Hufflepuff, I actually don't really know why the hell I care so much about it, but I kinda do... And yes, I did read your explanation on the matter, I respect you opinion, so I won't say why I don't agree with you, but I did wrote about 8 pages on why I think Hiccup is a Ravenclaw and Rapunzel a Hufflepuff, on a very boring day, so yeah, I do have my reasons as well.
But besides seeing Hiccup on Hufflepuff (which really bugs me), I still like your art a lot. Again, sorry for irritating you.

yes, but basically what I meant was that you didn't need to point it out. For all you know it bugs me when people place Hiccup in Ravenclaw, but you don't see me going around telling people that I feel its wrong despite liking the artwork (just an example, tbh, cause it doesn't bug me much. I've fav'd artworks that has Hic in Ravenclaw and Punzie in Hufflepuff)
I'm just very tired of feeling the need to explain myself. Generally the creators prefer if they aren't given the impression that what they've done is wrong, unless its constructive criticism to the art itself. I don't feel being told that xxx should be in xxx is constructive criticism, cause hey, its my AU, and its a character open for interpretation, and I like that I supposedly have the creative freedom with them.
I'm also very done with this fandom and have moved on to draw other stuff, so this topic being raised every few days is quite tiresome.

I always thought of Hiccup as Ravenclaw because he made all those inventions and Rapunzel as a Hufflepuff because she is so sweet and loyal and just. But the shut up and run part just cracked me up. And yay Jackunzel!
