Edit: This is actually an old drawing from 2006, which I recently scanned. I adjusted the colours to be more bright and alive and not as grey as the photo I had up before was. Looking at this drawing almost 2 years later make me recall the time I made it.. and the nice warm summer time

This drawing I did while visiting my parents this weekend. When I saw this photo; [link] of Natalia some time back I knew I had to make a drawing of her, her look contains something special.
I wanted to make something happy with the mood of summer, therefore I kept the colours rather light. I miss summer a lot these days, seem so dark and grey here.
I know the colours are nothing like the original, I usually make the photos I use black and white to make up the colours on my own + I am really not good at using red/orange/yellow colours for skintones. I prefer the lighter more "natural lighting" ones, especially for this one, as the mood is suppose to be a light happy one.
Made with pastels and my black coal pencil for her eyelids.

It was so long ago! Time flies! I have been good but not on the drawing front, when working you get a lot less free time I noticed!
In February I'll be in Copenhagen for a few days! I hope the schedule isn't too tight so I get to see something of the city

Yeah, the time I was in school I barely had time to draw, was lacking energy too much. Now I am back to art again and tattooing... yes, for the past 2 months. It's been a big change and a big challenge but I love it, it's really great. This way I get to draw much more, both on skin and paper

I don't know if others could notice this, but your drawing style has actually changed. Maybe its the picture; maybe i'm imagining things; maybe I notice things more acutely. I sometimes cringe at my artwork from the past. (Sometimes I do it now.) But I like knowing that with every pencil stroke, I am slowly getting better.
